More info about Peace at the Beach, the Wellness Retreat by the Gatineau River, Quebec

Where is it located?

What are the retreat hours?
The retreat runs from 11:00 AM to around 6:30–7:00 PM, ending with our beautiful sunset yoga session. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in and be ready for the opening ceremony.

🍎 Will food be provided?
We’ll offer healthy snacks and refreshments throughout the day (fruit, nuts, herbal teas, cacao). We encourage you to bring food if you have unique eating preferences or allergies, so you can eat during lunch or picnic. There will be a break for you to relax, eat, journal, or walk by the water.

👕 What should I wear/bring?
Bring comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in, plus layers (weather can shift quickly near the water).
We recommend:

  • A yoga mat
  • A water bottle
  • A journal or notebook (or use the one provided!)
  • Swimsuit/towel (optional – if you feel called to dip in the river!)
  • Dress in yellow for the Oshun ceremony at the beach
  • Instruments (if you have a drum or rattle you love, bring it!)
  • A warm blanket
  • Easy hiking shoes
  • An open heart and intention to connect 🌞

🌦️ What happens if it rains?
This is a rain-or-shine event. We will have sheltered areas in the forest and adapt our schedule if needed. Rain adds its own beauty to the healing journey — bring your rain boots and embrace nature!

🌟 Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is open to all levels — no experience in yoga, meditation, or spirituality is necessary. If you feel drawn to nature, connection, or need a spiritual reset, this is for you.
